With ExoTex® 3, CORE introduces the next generation of its proven leading edge material. After more than three years of intensive development, ExoTex® 3 represents a consistent evolution of CORE’s material philosophy—clearly focused on delivering even greater precision, control, and reliability in Big Air and freeride conditions.
ExoTex® 3 makes its debut in the newly released XR X—the tenth generation of CORE’s iconic Big Air and freeride kite. Developed specifically for the leading edge, ExoTex® 3 redefines airframe performance and forms the structural foundation for the XR X’s significantly increased performance level.

Less stretch. More control.
Compared to the previous generation, ExoTex® 3 offers 12% less elongation and 20% higher tear strength. These material properties translate into a more direct response, noticeably higher stability in strong winds, and an overall more precise flying feel. The result is clear, predictable feedback with a high level of control—especially when it matters most in Big Air conditions.
Precise loops and maximum hangtime
ExoTex® 3 also sets new benchmarks dynamically: the improved torsional performance of the leading edge supports faster, more precise turning behavior. Kiteloops can be initiated with greater control, drawn through cleanly, and caught more reliably. Combined with the stiff 5‑strut frame and the high-performance setup of the XR X, CORE has developed a kite that delivers maximum height, controlled hangtime, and a high level of safety.
