Does the legendary Ripper 5 need an introduction? Probably not. With its shortboard outline complemented by elements of a fish shape and the progressive rocker, the Ripper 5 is ideal for every wave kiter and any wave from small waves to steep overhead breakers. 

Now built in the same EPS composite sandwich construction as 720 and Green Room, the Ripper is your loyal and durable companion who will reliably support you in a wide variety of conditions. Its new top deck made of the light T10 PET has excellent stiffness and strength and is therefore extremely robust against impacts.

SHAPE

HYBRID-SHAPE 

The fusion of a shortboard and fish outline, featuring a generous center width and ample front-area volume, guarantees good gliding properties and extremely good tilt stability. The Mini Swallow Tail ensures the smoothest behavior in wide turns, and the possibility to push tight turns into the wave. 

HYBRID-SHAPE - Ripper

PROGRESSIVE ROCKER  

The Ripper has a three-stage progressive rocker with a flat center section - ideal for bottom turns with maximum speed and perfect precision over the tail when the board is pushed into the corner.   

MONO CONCAVE HULL  

The underbody of the Ripper is adorned with a subtle Mono concave, which ensures strong gliding properties and maximum guidance in turns.  

CONSTRUCTION 

LIGHTWEIGHT AND ROBUST

Inside the sandwich construction is the EPS core, a lightweight, densely foamed material with high damping and deformation properties. This gives the board somewhat "softer" properties for a particularly dynamic ride. The shell made of the extremely strong T10 in the top deck, as well as a fiberglass-epoxy resin laminate make the board light and robust.

CARBON REINFORCED TAIL

The tail patch has been reduced in size on all models, making the board lighter and maintaining a good flex in the tail. The important parts remain perfectly reinforced.   

Thruster Fin Setup - CORE Green Room Surfboard

THRUSTER FIN SETUP  

Thruster setups stand for high agility and allow for tight turns. In addition, they detach easier from the water during radical maneuvers on the wave lip than quad setups.    

ORIGINAL FCS II FIN SYSTEM

The FCS-II system allows the fins to be changed within a few seconds – without the need for tools. Of course, older generations of FCS fins can also be mounted with a grub screw.

SURF LEASH 6’0’’

The leash features CORE’s signature yellow, ensuring high visibility from all angles, especially underwater when sorting is necessary. The TPU is made of extremely high quality, which is why we were able to reduce the diameter and, in turn, minimize resistance.
