Key Feature Snapshot
Strapless Freestyle. Real Wave Riding. Easy Access.
The optimized shape of the 720 IV is now thinner with reduced tail rocker, delivering a more direct ride feel, improved low-end, and effortless upwind performance. Flatter channels create a looser, more playful ride feel. The Soric layer now fully wraps the rails, increasing durability and protecting the entire rail from impact.
Its freestyle strengths also enhance its surf and freeride capabilities. Lower technical demands on foot placement and weight transfer, combined with high roll stability and predictable feedback, inspire confidence from the first session – whether it’s your first bottom turn or a clean cutback in small waves.
High‑Performance Strapless Freestyle Board
Easy progression – even without surfing experience
New XPS sandwich construction – waterproof and more durable
The compact shape makes the 720 noticeably lighter than our other models, a clear advantage for air tricks and rotations. The thinner profile delivers a more direct ride feel, while the approximately 15% reduced tail rocker minimizes drag and improves early planing.
Flatter channels enhance control without locking the board in, ensuring clean water flow and predictable handling.
ROCKER
The flat rocker, combined with the bottom contour, provides controlled edging before takeoff and during bottom turns. Together with the tail, it delivers powerful pop. The rocker line brings you back upwind quickly after jumps or wave rides, while the progressive nose rocker smooths out hard landings – for control, speed and confidence in waves and chop.
Quadruple Concave Bottom
A pronounced channel with a double concave at its center, framed by two additional concaves, ensures exceptionally smooth landings and compensates for choppy conditions.
Grab rails
Integrated grab rails make freestyle tricks easier, providing optimal grip for thumb and palm during fast grabs.
Rocket Tail
The rocket tail releases easily from the water and performs equally well on flat water and in waves. It offers excellent tracking, controlled turn initiation and smooth rail-to-rail transitions – no surprises, just clean lines and consistent feedback.
Construction
Designed in Germany. Handcrafted in Portugal.
Developed on Fehmarn and built by experienced shapers in Portugal, the 720 IV is handcrafted to ensure precise dimensions and authentic glass-board performance.
New Construction. More Durability. More Control.
The 720 IV features a new XPS fiberglass sandwich construction, proven in the Badger. The XPS core is waterproof, stronger and more durable than traditional EPS cores.
A continuous Soric layer now fully wraps the rails, significantly increasing structural strength and reducing typical weak points – especially in the heel area. The board feels more solid, tracks more calmly through chop, and offers greater control in gusty conditions.
CARVED-Inspired Infusion Construction
Inspired by the carbon construction of the Imperator, the laminate is manufactured using a highly precise infusion process unique within this board category. The result is exceptionally consistent laminate quality, increased strength, and a significantly thinner construction compared to traditional surfboard builds.
Flat Deck Construction
The increased stiffness of the new construction is paired with a flat deck to preserve the 720 IV's lively feel. By distributing loads evenly across the entire surface, the board achieves greater structural strength while allowing for a thinner and more responsive design.
Thruster Fin Setup For a loose feel, tight turning and easy takeoff over rolling kickers.
Original FCS II Fin System Tool-free fin changes in seconds, compatible with older FCS fins via set screw.
Level One Verified Ecoboard Recyclable foams and bio-resins help reduce the board’s CO₂ footprint.
