Red Bull Megaloop 2025
ZARA BECOMES FIRST-EVER RED BULL MEGALOOP WINNER
CORE team rider and GKA Big Air World Champion Zara Hoogenraad wins the prestigious Red Bull Megaloop Challenge in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. For the first time in the history of the competition, a women’s division was held: alongside 16 men, six elite female riders faced the brutal conditions to push the limits of Big Air kiteboarding.
Round 1 brought a scare: Zara crashed hard during a kiteloop at frightening height. But what followed was an incredible comeback – she won her heat and later the final. With 35-40 knots of wind and gusts up to 45-50 knots, Zara sent a massive boogie loop at 16.4 meters, securing the top spot in the final against Alessa Mensch and Nathalie Lambrecht and crowning herself the first-ever women’s winner of the Red Bull Megaloop Challenge.
“My goal at the Megaloop was to show that women can also throw massive kiteloops in extreme conditions and with serious height. I’m over the moon to be the very first woman to win this event – but even more proud of what it means for our sport.”

The brand-new XR Pro 2 also had its public debut at this legendary event. Team rider Giel Vlugt sent his kiteloop tricks on the 8m to heights of up to 24.3 meters, advancing to the semifinals before bowing out against eventual winner Lorenzo Casati.
Rising talent Yücel Paralik, known for his extreme Super Loops at radical kite angles, celebrated his Megaloop debut. Riding the CORE Pace (ExoTex), he confidently advanced to Round 3, where he faced King of the Air champion Andrea Principi.
We congratulate our team riders and all winners of the Red Bull Megaloop and are already looking forward to next year!
