CORE Rider Joshua Emanuel on Australia’s Wild West Coast – chasing empty spots, raw nature and the perfect swell.
The idea had been there for years: explore Western Australia with no fixed plan – just stopping when the spot and the conditions lined up. When the time finally came, Josh packed gear for every possible session, rented a van, and hit the road from Perth. From there, he followed the coastline – always ready to score the next epic moment.
Australia delivered in its purest form: endless beaches, dramatic cliffs, blazing heat, endless miles, and swarms of flies. But all of it led to one of those rare moments that stay with you forever.
A quick stop back in Perth for his Progression Camp – five highly motivated kiters pushing each other, refining technique, and setting new personal bests. Then it was northbound again – swell in sight.
The final stop: Pink Lake. Light wind, but a scene straight out of a painting – and a session to remember.
