HALO PRO LW

The secret weapon for light wind days

CORE Halo Pro LW - Juli cruising in lightwind

A lightweight, Aluula-powered three-strut frame built to deliver power in light winds with effortless handling.

Up until now, even with the lightweight, high-performance Halo Pro wing in six square meters, sessions would naturally come to an end. As soon as the wind dropped below 10 knots, it would become incredibly tedious to get planing again without a light wind board and foil. CORE’s light wind experts wanted a solution - leading to the creation of a dedicated light wind variant of the Halo Pro, now available in an eight-square-meter design.

More struts for less wind

Additional struts in the tip area play a central role in the LW shape: they allow the profile to be extended from the middle to the tips. This ensures more pressure and enormously high performance even in light breezes. Thanks to its relatively small wingspan and projected area, it is not only more manageable, but also much more dynamic than many other wings in this size.

Advantages of Aluula compensate for the size

The high stiffness of Aluula is the second central component in the LW design of the Halo Pro together with its low weight, and it shows all its advantages here. Thin diameters throughout the strut framework, which hardly deforms even at this size. Efficient pumping, lift, hangtime and a pleasantly direct flight feeling. In combination with the low-stretch, powerful CoreTex 2 cloth, the giant no longer feels huge when riding.

LW profile promotes handling and high speeds

Due to a lower-cut profile, the wingspan could be kept comparatively small. Only 50 cm more than the Halo Pro 6.0 allow even smaller riders to have great fun. The concave in the trailing edge ensures an ideal airflow, which allows the Wing to reach very high riding speeds despite its size.

Large surface, many advantages

The Halo Pro LW is convincing with an effortless water start and easy pumping out, even on low-volume boards. Despite its size, the Wing is surprisingly agile and allows for dynamic and varied riding experience on the water.
