Giel Vlugt is one of the big names in the professional Big-Air discipline. Being the first one to pull a double loop, he has redefined the sport. His first sponsoring started with CORE in 2019, where Giel spent most of his time in Tarifa, relentlessly practicing new moves in Balneario.
His competitive spirit is a key driving force behind his success. His list of achievements is impressive. After scoring multiple podiums of many different competitions throughout the world, his success was rewarded with winning not only GKA Male Rider of the Year, but also the GKA Male Best Move the year in 2022. Same as for most Big-Air riders, the most important box still needs to be ticked: winning the King of the Air in Cape Town!
