CORE Pump 3 L/XL
The pump—often an overlooked part of the kit, but essential to the sport. While accessories like the kite, board, and bar often steal the spotlight, the CORE pump has earned its reputation for reliable performance and quality. Now in its third generation, with exciting updates, it’s the one pump you’ll never want to swap out for anything else.
The most striking feature of the new CORE Pump 3 is its white pump body – less susceptible to scratch marks from sand and use. The hose mount between the handles has been equipped with a twist lock. The hose can rotate freely for more flexible inflation and is less likely to kink. The technical innovations of the previous model have been retained: maximum hose diameter for the greatest possible air flow. The extremely low-friction pump run enables smooth and fast inflation. The "sand guard" membrane effectively protects against the penetration of grains of sand into the suction opening. With the included adapter, the CORE Pump 3 can be combined not only with CORE kites, but also with many other valve systems.
Let’s pump it up, shall we?
Here are all the technical features in detail:
Thanks to high-quality materials, seals and coatings, the piston glides particularly easily through the pump cylinder. In addition, the inner tube that directs the air into the hose has a larger diameter – this facilitates the air flow and thus also the effort required.
The "Sand Guard", a special foam membrane, protects the suction opening from sand intake with two decisive advantages
- The inside of the pump and its smoothness are better protected against sand.
- In this way, significantly fewer grains of sand also get into the kite - which also significantly extends the service life of the bladders.
If you want to provide an extra portion of pressure in the tubes at the end, you will be happy about the small rotary valve on the back of the pump. It switches the pump to either double or single stroke.
The calibrated pressure gauge permanently measures the pressure in the kite when pumping. We have deliberately refrained from marking the optimal pressure range. Depending on the model and personal preferences, the pressure can vary – the maximum PSI specification can always be read on the valve and in the respective model manual.
The relatively long pump cylinder allows a more upright posture compared to standard pumps, protects the back and increases the pumped air volume with each individual pump stroke. You get even more volume and comfort with the XL version of the CORE pump.
The ergonomic pump handles make it particularly easy for you to put your power and body weight into each pump stroke to get on the water quickly.
Pumps are usually not handled lovingly. That's why we have consistently designed the new CORE Pump 3 for heavy-duty use in every detail. Like the pump line – it is twice as thick as usual and equipped with a reinforced kite hook.
