This photo was captured during the Nexus 4 shoot in Chile, together my surfing soul brother Willow and our inspiring photographers Thomas and Juli. We were in Matanzas that day, where Thomas and Willow had a specific shot in mind that they tasked me with bringing to life. It took us over 50 kite loops to find the perfect angle for the photo - by far the most challenging photo I've been working on with the crew so far. But each attempt and crash was worth it in the end. The final result is undoubtedly the best freestyle photo I have ever achieved.

I’ve visited Brazil many times - it’s the ultimate kitesurfing mecca from August to December, packed with thousands of kiters along its coastlines. So it’s not exactly ideal for a secret photoshoot of a brand-new kite, right? Well, we made it work, just differently. This shot captures me riding in a tiny, gusty lagoon, about 5-10km inland. Far from a typical kiting spot in northern Brazil, but places like this often deliver the magic. The conditions were tricky, and the riding wasn’t easy, but with its backdrop we immediately knew we can capture something unseen. Looking at it now reminds me why we chase and dedicate ourselves to capturing something truly special.

Mauritius is home to one of the most iconic waves in our sport and has shaped my journey over the past 15 years. For over a decade, I’ve dedicated myself to learning the art of forecasting swells, spending countless hours analyzing conditions year-round. It’s a skill that has paid off on days like this, where everything aligned perfectly - 20 knots of wind, 6-meter walls, and the wave all to ourselves. Moments like these are what we chase, where preparation meets opportunity and nature delivers something truly unforgettable.
